Dr. Abdullah Alsalti

Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Al-Salti graduated from Sultan Qaboos University in 2002. He obtained membership of royal college of physician MRCP UK in 2006 and completed his neurology residency program at McGill University from 2008-2013. He has obtained his FRCPC in neurology in 2013 and has completed Fellowship in Neuromuscular and EMG at McGill university in 2014. Dr. Al Salti is a member of the Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiology (CSCN in EMG) since 2014 and at present he is working as a senior consultant neurologist neuromuscular & EMG specialist. He is also a member of the scientific education committee internal medicine program Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB) and head of neurology department at Neuroscience Center at Khoula Hospital Muscat.

Dr. Abdulrazaq Albilali

Dr. Abdulrazaq Albilali is a highly accomplished medical professional with a diverse background. He completed his undergraduate certificate at King Saud University in 2009 and earned a Master's degree in Experimental Medicine (MSc) from the same university in 2014. In 2017, he completed his residency training in Neurology at the University of British Columbia, followed by a fellowship in Headache Medicine at the university's multidisciplinary headache clinic in 2019. Dr. Albilali also holds a Master's degree in Health Administration (MHA) from the University of British Columbia, obtained in 2019. He has held prestigious positions as the head of the Neurology unit at King Saud University Medical City and College of Medicine (2021-2023) and as the head of the Saudi Headache Chapter (2020-present).

Dr. Mohammed Alhatou

Dr. Mohammed Alhatou has a special interest in headache, neuro-immunology and neuromuscular diseases. He chaired the Department of Neurology at the Regional Medical Center of Orangeburg and Calhoun Counties from 2002 to 2015 and recently joined Hamad Medical Corporation where he is a Senior Consultant, Director of Neuromuscular Division at HMC and Head of Neurology at Alkhor Hospital.

Dr. Alhatou is American Board-Certified in Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology, Electromyography, Neuromuscular Disorders, Neuroimaging and Sleep Medicine. He completed his Residency in Neurology at the University of Virginia and his Fellowship in Neuromuscular Disease and Electromyography at Emory University.

He is a primary investigator in multiple drug studies in neuropathy, dementia, stroke and epilepsy. He is the Chair of Qatar Board of Neurology and Qatar representative to Arab Board of Neurology.

Dr. Derk Krieger

Dr. Derk Krieger is a very experienced neurologist with special interests in cerebrovascular disease, stroke, headache, neuromuscular and movement disorders, neuroimmunology, brain plasticity and interventional rehabilitation procedures. Prior to moving to Dubai he was Professor of Neurology and Chairman of the Comprehensive Stroke Center at Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen, Denmark and was Associate Professor of Neurology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation for 10 years until 2008. He continues to hold an adjunct professorship at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. Dr. Krieger studied in Germany and then undertook his Fellowship in Neurocritical Care from Tufts University in Boston, USA. He held several academic positions at UT Houston and Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland Ohio. He is a Fellow of the European Stroke Organization and a Fellow of the American Heart Association and remains actively involved in clinical research and teaching.

Dr. Alrukn received his degree in medicine from UAE university. He underwent his neurology residency at the University of McGill, and subsequently obtain the neurology certification from the Royal Collage of Physicians & Surgeon (Canada). He then completed a fellowship in Cerebrovascular disease and Stroke at Montreal General Hospital, Canada. he currently serves as a head of Stroke Center at Rashid Hospital, Dubai.

Dr. Alrukn’ s field of interest are principally directed towards the acute stroke management, stroke unit establishing and post stroke rehabilitation. He established the 1st certified stroke unit in UAE. Dr. Al rukn is a local and international speakers in stroke field, and had many publications in this area. Currently he is the President of MENA Stroke Organization. In 2019, Dr. Alrukn became the President of World Congress of Neurology, and is the currently the President of Emirates Neurology Society.

Dr. Alrukn is the Founder and the chairman of the Neurology Residency Program in Dubai, since 2013. Also, he is the Chairman of the Dubai Scientific & Research Ethical Committee.

Dr. Alrukn has an interest in Headache management & Movement disorders, and he is running the movement disorder clinic at Rashid hospital. He currently sits on the executive boards of various scientific associations, steering committee and advisory boards, mainly in stroke & headache.

Dr. Mohammed Saidam completed his Bachelor degree in Medicine at Al Basra University, Iraq. He then went on to do a two year internship with the King Hussein Medical Center and Ministry of Health. He subsequently received the certificate of complete training in Neurology and the certificate of higher speciality in medicine with specialization in Neurology.

Following this, he became a professor and research assistant in the Neuroscience department at King Abdullah University Hospital, College of Medicine of Jordan University of Science and Technology.

He is a board certified adult neurologist by the Jordanian Medical Council and a board certified adult neurologist and clinical neurophysiologist. From 2011-2014 he worked in Saudi Arabia and from 2014-2020 he was a senior adult neurologist and clinical neurophysiologist in a private hospital in Abu Dhabi, UAE, prior to joining Mediclinic.

Dr. Walid Alesefir

Dr. Walid Alesefir

Dr. Walid Alesefir has been serving as a Consultant Neurologist at Al-Habib Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and concurrently holds the position of Assistant Professor of Neurology at Hail University since March 2022. He successfully completed a Post-Graduate Clinical Headache Fellowship in Neurology at the University of Montreal, CHUM, Canada, from January 2021 to February 2022, further enhancing their expertise in this field. In July 2021, He participated in the Stroke Fellowship Expert Program organized by the Canadian Stroke Consortium. Prior to that, Dr. Walid Alesefir pursued a Post-Graduate Clinical and Research Stroke Fellowship in Neurology at the University of Montreal, CHUM, Canada, from August 2019 to December 2020. He also gained valuable experience as a Post-Graduate Medical Stroke Fellow at the University of Ottawa, The Ottawa Hospital – Civic Campus, Canada, from May 2018 to June 2019.
